More stuff

I just wanted to let you know a little bit about what you can expect to see on this blog. And also what you absolutely won't see here.

First of all, it's likely that I'll be posting a lot of pictures. Not super impressive professional artsy photos that I've spent lots of time editing. No. I'm talking straight from my iPhone, possible instagrammed photos. I take a lot of pictures but I almost always take them on my cell phone. I have three kids and I think everything they do is amazing/hilarious/adorable so if you are a Big 'Ol Kid Hater then you have come to the wrong blog my friend.

Secondly, I am a single (divorced, yuck) mother of three crazy kids. I'll probably be talking a lot about them in addition to all the aforementioned pictures. Maybe I'll talk about the daily struggles of being a single mom? Maybe not, we'll just see.

We live with my parents out in the country. We have a huge garden, three dogs, a cat and five chickens. We find all that goes on on "our little farm" to be very interesting, so I will be sure to share about that.

I am currently out of school for the summer (YAY) but in the fall I will be in nursing school so that could be a topic of interest.

Some other random things that I care about: breast feeding, cross stitching, napping, eating cookies, positive discipline, reading and drinking diet Dr. Pepper. All of those are riveting topics for blogging, right??

Anyway, here are a few things that I most likely WILL NOT be talking about:
Politics- yuck. Just the thought of trying to discuss politics gives me the hives. I have my own opinions and I often don't share them with anyone unless I KNOW that person is close to being on the same page as me about said topic. Does that make me a coward?? Maybe. But, I think I just like to avoid conflict.

Religion- see above.

News in General- while I'm more than a little embarrassed to admit that I can tell you ALMOST ANYTHING about celebrity news, I am way less educated about real news. Yes, I listen to NPR, and read The Huffington Post and all that but I would NEVER try to explain anything like an important news event on this here blog. If you want to read about that I'll be happy to direct you to my favorite news sites. NOW, if J. Lo gets engaged or Justin Beiber comes out of he closet then I'll be ALL OVER IT. ( I'm kidding, kind of)

Anyway, that's all for now. I'll leave you with a picture of one of our beautiful chickens.
